Invite your music-loving friends, family and clients to invest in the futures of our Govalle Elementary students!

Created in 2019, Art All Summer is an Arts Enrichment Program of Govalle Elementary PTA, a Title One school in East Austin. Our mission is to enable and inspire our students to continue learning, growing and creating over the summer break by providing age appropriate, high-quality art supplies to every child. In 2021, we added a Summer Art Day Camp to our Program where we show our Roadrunners ways to use their new supplies plus the camaraderie and fun that a summer camp experience brings!

The Backyard Ball aims to secure the funds to add very important, academically focused programs under the Art All Summer umbrella.

Last year Govalle received a disappointing "Not Rated" accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency, sadly among the lowest in AISD. Public school accountability ratings are based on three categories. They include student achievement and school progress, both tied to the results of the controversial STAAR test. The other category is whether districts and campuses are closing learning gaps for historically underserved groups anything below a C was listed as “Not Rated.”

Proceeds from The Backyard Ball will be used ONLY to create a teacher-directed fund to concentrate efforts on our diverse students' most pressing scholastic needs.

Our growth and the ongoing success of Art All Summer is 100% due to our village of loyal donors and generous hearts from Austin and beyond, to whom we are forever grateful.
