In our community, reputation is everything. When false accusations target volunteers and a nonprofit, the damage spreads fast. Families feel the pressure, donors hesitate, and the people who need help wait longer.

Over recent months, a Facebook page with over 100,000 followers has repeatedly published false claims about MAROC and specific volunteers. This has caused real distress for families, shaken donor confidence, and disrupted community work.

MAROC is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization founded in 2012. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal process to defend the organization, protect volunteers, and stop the harm, so the mission can continue without intimidation.

This campaign is specifically to fund attorney fees and related legal costs.

How your donation will be used:

Attorney retainer and ongoing legal fees
Demand letters, filings, and court costs
Evidence preservation, investigation, and discovery
Service of process and related administrative expenses

Transparency:

This is a legal defense fund and is separate from charitable program fundraising (including orphan sponsorship)
If MAROC later recovers any funds through a judgment or settlement, MAROC intends to direct the net proceeds to charitable programming, including orphan support, consistent with Board oversight and applicable law
