Matt Schaeffer chose the Burgance Brigade as his charity he is most passionate about.  The Burgance Brigade is a group dedicated to supporting those impacted by ALS, a disease that is often described as making one a "prisoner in your own body." This phrase captures the profound sense of being mentally aware but physically constrained, which is a deeply frightening and challenging experience. Throughout the years I have raised money numerous times for the charity. The Ice Bucket Challenge was a viral phenomenon that raised awareness and funds for ALS research by encouraging people to dump ice-cold water over themselves or donate to the cause. Another time I raised money was in connection with the Ravens' Super Bowl appearance likely leveraged the excitement and community spirit surrounding the event to benefit ALS. Your efforts contribute significantly to the fight against ALS and help to alleviate some of the fear and suffering associated with it.
