Join the Millvale Community Library and Abeille Voyante Tea Company on September 6, 2025 for our third annual Stitch-a-thon. Inspired by the Old Muddy River Bridge episode of Gilmore Girls, the day will be filled with knitting, crocheting, macrame, and more. Our friends at WQED will be joining us with a weaving activity using yarn and fabric scraps and PBS KIDS activities featuring Carl the Collector. Raise funds ahead of time by getting friends and family to sponsor your day of stitching, then come hang out and meet other stitchers! There will be prizes, raffles, workshops, vendors, and more.

September is Love Your Library month. The funds raised for the library help cover programming and operating costs, as well as projects like the Millvale Free Fridge and the Millvale Tool Lending Library.

For the past 10 years, the Millvale Community Library has been much more than a library; we are an agent for positive change in our community and beyond. We've been a gathering space for meetings. We've planned music, art, and science programming for adults and children. We've helped support our local immigrant and refugee populations. We've been a safe space for ALL to gather. We've helped promote food security in our neighborhood. We've protected and shared information. We've been a space where people can play, learn, and grow. We've been a gateway to the digital world. And we have books! We could not do all that (and more) without the generous support of friends and neighbors like you!
