As many of you know, Barnett had a difficult journey into this world. He spent the first 4 months of his life in the NICU and suffered from two grade 4 brain bleeds, HIE, kidney failure and more. He has been a true fighter from day one. Since then, as a family, we have spent the last 5 years trying to find Barnett the best care from finding the right physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, ABA therapy and school. It has not been an easy road to navigate.  We have gone through many trials and errors trying to find the right fit for Barnett and we have made some incredible progress!

Our biggest blessing this year has been finding MDE, a private special needs school. MDE School has truly been the BEST experience for Barnett.  Since starting in August he has been THRIVING!!! He is receiving more attention and care at MDE then he ever did in the special needs program at public school. In addition, MDE partners with Greater Atlanta Speech and Language Clinic so he can receive the best therapies while he is in school. This means we no longer have to drive to 5 different therapy clinics to get him what he deserves. MDE has been amazing to Barnett and our family and we are excited and blessed to be apart of this special needs school and community.
