Cincinnati's creative spaces don't just entertain us, they hold us. They turn empty storefronts into gathering places, give neighbors a reason to sit at the same table, and offer a way for people to feel seen, heard, and valued in a city that's growing and changing fast.

The Cincinnati Arts & Culture Community Impact Study™ highlights the vital role that arts and culture play in promoting well-being across Greater Cincinnati. Led by Tiffany Cooper of Meaningful Connections LLC, alongside Candra Reeves (Ardelle Group) and nonprofit partner Kathy Garrison (Artsville), this study goes beyond dollars and attendance numbers. By combining quantitative data with community feedback gathered through surveys, listening sessions, and community engagement initiatives, the study offers a deeper understanding of how people from all backgrounds, including those historically underrepresented or underfunded, connect with arts and cultural opportunities throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.

Moving beyond traditional economic metrics, the study looks at how creative expression shapes the overall well-being and health of a community by:

Building stronger, more connected neighborhoods
Supporting mental and emotional health
Helping community members feel seen, heard, and valued

We already know arts and culture are an economic engine — contributing $5.4 billion in economic impact to the Greater Cincinnati region in 2023, according to the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. What this study captures is everything the balance sheet leaves out: the block party that brought a whole street outside, the mural that made a neighborhood feel like home again, the choir rehearsal that became someone's lifeline.

As fiscal sponsor, Community Shares is responsible for ensuring any funds donated to benefit the Cincinnati Arts & Culture Community Impact Study under this fiscal sponsorship are used exclusively for charitable purposes, making them deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
