Melina Alisa Mendoza’s life was filled with love, compassion, and joy—especially for animals in need. Her radiant smile and generous heart touched everyone she met, both two- and four-legged. Born in Los Angeles, California, on August 7, 1994, Melina grew up with a ready smile and a fearless spirit. She graduated from the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at St. John’s University in 2016, and throughout her life, she remained a steadfast advocate for kindness and service.

Melina’s family and friends will always remember her as a bright light—a person who laughed often, loved deeply, and gave selflessly. Whether she was spending time with her dogs, helping a friend, or lending a hand to a stranger, Melina embodied compassion in action.
