Melissa Joy was born completely deaf and  needs a cochlear implant.

Without a cochlear implant, she will never hear a sound. Without hearing, she cannot learn to speak. We are praying that God will provide the funds for that operation quickly.

Melissa Joy lives in Pakistan with her parents, David and Apphia, a vital part of the Leadership and Coaching Staff with Vision for the Kingdom Pakistan in association with Cross Connecting Network.

David and Apphia have consulted with several doctors in Pakistan and have forwarded those reports to a specialist here in the US to confirm the diagnosis and treatment. The prognosis is bleak but not insurmountable. A cochlear implant for at least one of her ears within the next few weeks will allow her to hear and develop language skills.


The cost of this operation is 2.7 million Pakistan Rupees, approximately $17,500 for each ear. 

We desire to raise $18,000 to pay for the operation and some for the extra expenses involved.
 Salaries are low in Pakistan, and few people have any medical insurance. Melissa Joy’s parents cannot afford this surgery.
