I am passionate about the rights of women and girls to have agency over their bodies and their future. Unfortunately, something as basic as monthly menstruation keeps East African girls out of school for over 30 days each year because they can't afford menstrual pads. I never want menstruation to be a reason for girls to miss out on an education. Period hygiene should be a basic health and human right.
