Mentors Matter 2025

All of us, like Donna James or others we highlighted at Empowerment Day this year, found our lives positively impacted by parents, coaches, teachers, pastors, bosses, friends – someone who gave us our first job, taught us a distinctive skill, told us we were special.

These Mentors Matter and are the heart of our work at your Columbus Urban League. Our Mentors Matter fund will ensure that CUL continues to be that “go to” organization, the mentor that connects adults and youth to high-wage careers with a future, teaches people how to build wealth and fosters connections and resources so small businesses grow. We drive economic impact through access and opportunity for all.
