Story
About Institute for Psychedelics & Death:
Founded in Asheville, North Carolina, The Institute for Psychedelics & Death rigorously explores the vulnerabilities, depths and unknowings of spirituality and mortality. As Abbie Rosner wrote in the MAPS bulletin: “Once psychedelic-assisted therapy towards the end-of-life becomes widely available, the death-positive movement will be launched into another plane.” The Institute for Psychedelics & Death is a branch of the impact campaign for the feature documentary The Last Ecstatic Days, and a fiscally sponsored project of The Gleanings Foundation in Robbinsville, North Carolina.
About The Last Ecstatic Days:
A documentary about a young man with brain cancer in search of community, and the hospice doctor who gives up everything to honor his dying wish. Called "one of the most-life affirming films of 2023," The Last Ecstatic Days will receive its World Premiere at 5:15pm on Saturday, October 21, at the Jean Cocteau Cinema. Tickets available here.
