With the passing of Former President Jimmy Carter, the world has lost an authentic and humble role model for how we can choose to live life with choices that exemplify peace and love and faith and compassion for all of humanity.

And with his passing, I have lost a dear friend – who mentored and loved my son, who helped me shape Mattie’s Peace Foundation, and who loved and prayed and celebrated life with me.

What I know for sure is that I will take the inspiration of his lessons and living and loving forthward with me, and I hope and pray that others will as well.
