š¼Spring Spotlight: From Our Board of Directors š
Spring is here, and with it comes a fresh season of hope and new beginnings for our Goldens.
In 2025, we welcomed 27 dogs into rescue and found loving homes for 26 of them. We also said goodbye to three of our cherished permanent fostersāNoah, Pope, and Donutāwho were deeply loved. Today, our Golden Guardian Program continues to support three permanent fosters: Duke, Frances Grace, and Bentley.
After a quiet December, the new year brought a wave of beautiful Goldens needing our help. As foster homes open, weāre working quickly to bring them safely into rescue.
We also had a wonderful weekend at SEWE. Crowds filled the event, our booth stayed busy, and our dogs brought smiles to so many visitors. Thanks to your generosity, we received several meaningful donations that will directly support our mission.
Looking ahead, weāre excited for our Spring 2026 GGR Low Country Golden Retriever MeetāUp on Saturday, April 25th at Hobcaw Brewing Company. Youāll find more details in the newsletter belowāwe hope to see you there.
Inside this edition, youāll discover ways to support our work, volunteer, foster, learn helpful tips, and enjoy inspiring rescue stories. Please share it with fellow dog lovers and help us spread the Golden joy.
From our hearts to yours, we wish you and your furry companions a warm and Happy Easter.
With deep gratitude,
The GGRLC Board

š SEWE 2026 was everything we love about this communityājoyful, lively, and full of heart. From kids bonding with our sweet Goldens to families stopping by our booth to learn about adopting, fostering, or volunteering, the day was packed with smiles and wagging tails. Our volunteers shined as they shared stories, answered questions, and helped spread the mission of Grateful Goldens Rescue. With friendly dogs, excited visitors, and even a surprise mascot moment, the event was a beautiful reminder of how much magic happens when people come together to support animals in need. Weāre grateful for every person who stopped by and made the day unforgettable.
