Summer is here, and the Henry Kapono Foundation is bringing live music across Hawai‘i with HKF SummerFest 2026, a season of new venue partnerships, fresh music series, unforgettable experiences, and expanded opportunities for Hawai‘i’s artists. From sunset sessions & kanikapila nights, to Friday NIGHTMUSIC sessions & community celebrations, SummerFest is all about connecting audiences with the people, places, and music that make Hawai‘i special. More than performances, HKF SummerFest’s curated series goes beyond the setlist, artist-driven experiences designed to bring people together through collaboration, storytelling, surprise guests, themed nights, and unforgettable moments. Through these unique partnerships and series, HKF is empowering Hawai‘i’s artists to not just perform, but to create, collaborate, and curate experiences that reflect the spirit and diversity of our islands.


Spectacular oceanfront sunsets, island breezes, & live music come together at the Ritz-Carlton-Oʻahu, with Turtle Bay’s Sunset Music Sessions, featuring HKF OTR artists, & unforgettable evenings on O‘ahu’s North Shore. Fridays & Saturdays, 6pm - 9pm.


An intimate evening celebrating the voices, stories, and spirit of Hawaiʻi’s women in music through harmony, collaboration, and connection. Hosted by Jenny Yim at Kapono's at the Lounge. Friday July 10 & August 7, 8pm – 10pm.


A soulful Friday night residency where Tavana and special guests bring spontaneous jams, storytelling, and genre-crossing collaborations to the stage at Kapono’s at The Lounge. Friday June 12, July 3, Aug 28, from 8pm – 10pm.


A celebration of Hawaiʻi’s iconic songs and artists, reimagined through storytelling, nostalgia, and HKF next-generation talent with Kailua Moon & friends at Kapono's at the Lounge. Friday June 19, July 17, Aug 21, from 8pm – 10pm.


An island-style gathering blending country roots, paniolo spirit, and island music under the stars with award-winning singer-songwriter Kalaʻe Parish and special guests at Kapono's at the Lounge. June 26, July 24, Aug 28, from 8pm – 10pm.


A laid-back Hawaiian music & food series bringing together local musicians, community, and old-school kanikapila vibes with Kata Maduli & friends at The Dish in Kailua Town. Every Friday, July 10 through August 28, 6pm - 9pm.


HKF SummerFest is made possible through valued venue and community partners who believe in supporting live local music and creating ongoing opportunities for Hawai‘i’s artists. Together, these partners help bring  Hawai‘i’s live music experiences to audiences across the islands through consistent performance opportunities.


Celebrating 40 years of this beloved summer tradition, the Wildest Show blends live music, community, & family fun under the stars at the Honolulu Zoo. Featuring performances by HKF OTR talent on Wednesday 4:30pm - 8pm.


For over 3 decades, Duke's features live island music from local favorites, in the heart of Waikīkī, and spotlights HKF On the Rise artists every Thursday at 4:30pm & 7pm.


Supporting local musicians, Don’s Mai Tai Bar is home to Hawaiʻi’s largest open-air dining room that features weekly free live music from Hawaiʻi’s music legends on Thursdays & HKF Artists on Saturdays from 5pm – 7pm.

 


Continuing a long tradition of supporting Hawaiʻi's musicians & local music culture, Kani Ka Pila Grille features Live music nightly, including HKF On The Rise artists on the first Tuesday of each month from 5pm – 7pm.


Bringing live island music to Maui’s west side, Duke’s supports Hawai‘i’s music community with unforgettable oceanfront experiences filled with aloha, food, & music. Duke's features HKF Artists every Friday, 12:30pm - 2:30pm & Sunday, 3pm – 5pm.


Celebrate the end of the week with live music & community connection at Kapono's at the Lounge's Aloha Friday-Pau Hana with a Purpose, featuring HKF OTR artists Fridays, 5pm – 7:30pm.  


HKF Media partners, HI Now Daily & Sunrise supports Hawai‘i’s music scene by featuring Hawai‘i based artists, welcoming them to share their music, events, and stories, helping to bring local talent into homes across Hawai‘i. Tune in Weekdays on Hawaii News Now TV or online.
