Prescient words from Common Man for Ukraine's Susan Mathison, as she and fellow co-founders Alex Ray, Lisa Mure, and Steve Rand were fitted with flak jackets.
Flak jackets in order to deliver food to children.
Needless to say, children should never find themselves in the dangers of a war zone. We remain dedicated to helping as many Ukrainian children of war as possible.
Thanks to your generous support, we successfully delivered more than 18 tons of food and critical supplies over the last few days to:
200 internally displaced children from Kherson now living out the war at a school
More than 200 additional children living at other area schools
Dozens of teenage boys living in an orphanage
Multiple war-ravaged villages in central Ukraine that are now mostly cut off from normal supply lines
Our team woke up today in Odesa, Ukraine, and we'll remain in the war zone through the weekend before traveling to Zakopane, Poland, to visit the Children of Ukraine Health Retreat -- our monthly, 3-week trauma counseling program for children of killed or missing-in-action Ukrainian soldiers.
Together, we have more good to do.
Please consider an additional donation and encourage friends to support these children of war as well -- thank you so very much!
