In 2026, youth drive our mission forward
Gen7 Youth have always been the key to our mission of serving Native communities, honoring Indigenous wisdom, and moving reconciliation forward. Just two weeks into the new year, Native and non-Native youth are working side-by-side to keep those efforts in motion!

Earlier this month, a Louisville, CO-based Cub Scout Troop spent their Saturday packing food boxes for 25 Lakota families. Amidst all the fun of working together to organize and pack the boxes, the Scouts also got a chance to learn about Native history & current conditions on reservations, and to build understanding and solidarity with Indigenous people. Thank you, Cub Scout Den 10!
This weekend, those boxes are being delivered by the tribal members on our Pine Ridge field team and students from the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning to households across the reservation. There, they will also split and deliver firewood to families, and will engage directly with Native elders, youth, and community leaders to learn, connect, and heal. We're so thankful to the Scouts, students, and young people across reservations and the Colorado Front Range who are stepping up to serve!
In these challenging times, every small act of kindness makes a big impact for Native families in need. With youth in Colorado and reservation communities stepping up to meet those needs and create meaningful relationships, we're confident that youth-driven, cross-cultural service represents the bright, shared future that is still possible for all.
