Dear Friend of Spencer,

As we begin the new year, we are excited about the potential that 2025 holds for us. We are the foremost organization that is recruiting and supporting talent and programs that will bolster the insurance industry, but we don't do it alone. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters who have partnered with us to attract and develop top talent, and we look forward to building new partnerships in 2025. 

Board of Directors Update: At the end of 2024, we bid farewell to Kristen Bessette, Teresa Black, Chris Lang, Kristen Peed, and Matthew Schneider from our board. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of them for their dedication, contributions, and the invaluable impact they have made during their time with us. They will be greatly missed.

Help Us Raise $7,500

In conjunction with Insurance Careers Month (details below), Spencer Day is focused on raising funds and increasing awareness for our mission to empower the next generation of leaders in Risk Management & Insurance. We are committed to celebrating the industry's diverse and talented future, and we invite everyone to participate in this virtual celebration!

This year, we kindly ask for your help to crowdfund $7,500 to provide a scholarship for a deserving student in 2025.

Spencer grants merit-based scholarships to students aspiring to pursue careers in Risk Management & Insurance. Support a student's journey toward academic and professional achievement by donating today! We aim for contributions of $46 or more to mark Spencer's 46th year of operation. Funding is available for RMI-related curriculum topics relating to RMI 101, Upper-Level RMI, Risk Engineering/Loss Control, and more. Special state funding is available for Colleges/Universities in New Jersey and New York.

Course Development Spotlights: 

RIMS New Jersey Chapter

Spencer and the RIMS New Jersey Chapter are looking to partner with colleges and universities in New Jersey to expand RMI education!

Spencer’s Course Development funding supports the development
of RMI curricula. Funding opportunities range from introductory course
development (i.e., RMI 101) at institutions with no RMI courses to expanding
existing RMI courses to address upper-level topics (e.g., Insurance Company
Operations, P&C, and ERM). Grant amounts typically range from $10,000 to
$25,000 (average $15,000), and New Jersey RIMS Chapter engagement is
possible to support RMI graduate scholarships and experiential learning
initiatives.
