Carlene has been an inpatient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for three weeks. She developed an infection around the central line catheter in her chest.
Her recent scans show that her jugular vein is closed on the right and the arteries on the left are blocked with blood clots. This means, Carly will remain in the hospital until May 4th.
Carly is scheduled to have a Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World starting May 4th. This trip will mean everything to Carly after spending 7 weeks in the hospital.
