Greetings!
We wanted to give you a quick update as January comes to an end. Because of your generosity, the children are not just surviving, they’re growing, learning, and thriving. Here’s what’s been happening lately:
At Eden Doma, 56 children with caregivers who really know them and care for them. Several of our young adults have even moved on to live independently, what a joy to see them stepping into the world.
Over at Eden Karoi, 14 children are growing strong, including many little ones under six. This quarter, 10 children were happily reunited with their families.
Eden Christian Academy welcomed 70 learners this term. Our small class sizes mean teachers can really focus on each child, helping most of them complete their full academic workload.
Our ICT program keeps growing too. Our students are now learning computer skills that will give them confidence and opportunities for the future.
Every child gets three nutritious meals every day, and we’re happy to share that 82% of under-five children are now fully nourished and growing well.
One story that warms our hearts: a child who arrived severely malnourished late last year has now made a full recovery thanks to our special feeding program.
Eden Farm keeps providing milk, eggs, chickens, and beef to feed the children and staff; your support makes this possible.
This quarter, our children had individual and group therapy sessions, helping them manage emotions and build social skills. Already, we’re seeing changes.
Daily check-ins and calm spaces give children the tools to handle tough moments and feel safe every day.
We planted paprika, maize, soybeans, and sunflowers and more than half of our crops are irrigated. Our permaculture garden now provides a significant portion of the vegetables needed for the village.
At Eden Karoi, we have 60 rabbits and we are growing some maize.
Caregivers start their days early to make sure children feel safe and cared for. Weekly training keeps them equipped with the best skills, and rest schedules help prevent burnout.
Our sewing department delivered over 320 items this quarter, including school uniforms.
As a reminder, our “A Thousand Thousands” campaign is ongoing. Please consider partnering with us to secure land for the new village and the winter crop: Donate Here
Your prayers, generosity, and encouragement change lives every single day.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Eden Ministries Team
