The Metamora Tradition (documentary film)

Pat Ryan grew up idolizing Metamora football players, went on to play quarterback for a team ranked #1 in the state and returned to redevelop Metamora into the premiere public school program in all of Illinois. Through never-released footage and new interviews with coaches, players, and fans, this documentary film will tell the inspirational story of Ryan’s legendary 30 years of successes both on and off the field and how high school football became a Friday night tradition in Metamora. In parallel to this retrospective, the film will follow the current Metamora players as the team battles to continue the tradition and set their sights on their futures after high school.
