Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano located in Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. It has three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world: 5,895m above sea level and about 4,900m above its plateau base.

Climb Kilimanjaro with Metro Relief in 2025. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event to provide resources for Metro’s first transitional house, a stepping stone to help our friends transition off the street. We will have guides to lead us through the Machame Route, which will entail a 4 day ascent and a 3 day descent. This particular route is of moderate difficulty and will require some preparation. Your safety is our number one priority, so we have made sure you will be provided with a thorough orientation so there will be no surprises.

18 is the minimum age to participate.

Our Team Meetings begin on SUNDAY 18th AUGUST 2024 and we will meet monthly for updates, key information, support and updates on the trip.
