Mexgiving: A Thanksgiving Tradition, Now Giving Back

Every Thanksgiving, the Hernandez family opens their home and their table for Mexgiving, a tradition built on generosity and gathering together. This year, that spirit extends further: Eddie and his family are using Mexgiving to support DiscoverU.

DiscoverU connects underserved high school students across Houston to vetted, immersive, out-of-school experiences focused on college readiness, career exploration, and leadership development. For students who might otherwise never get the chance, these experiences change the trajectory of their lives.

Impact: $2.3M in scholarships unlocked for students 🎓 99% high school graduation rate 📚 75% college matriculation rate 🎒

Take Miranda Galvan. A student at North Forest High School, Miranda took part in a DiscoverU-supported Medicine in Mexico program. She's now pursuing her Master's in Public Health.

Thank you for giving students the experience of a lifetime.

Because Experience Matters!
