Help Launch The Mexico Deportee Coalition Nonprofit and Bring Our Vision to a Reality

This campaign is the next step, an invitation to walk with me as we move from a vision into a real, structured nonprofit that can serve deportees, Dreamers, and returning migrants in Mexico for years to come.

I am raising the first round of support to form The Mexico Deportee Coalition as a nonprofit and build the early infrastructure for a living, searchable resource directory. This directory will connect people who arrive in Mexico feeling lost with churches, shelters, legal clinics, community groups, and volunteers who are ready to help.

Why This Work Matters

Every year, tens of thousands of people are sent back to Mexico from the United States. Many lived in the United States for more than a decade before being deported, and a large share are separated from close family in the process. One recent survey found that about 44 percent of recent Mexican deportees had lived in the United States for more than ten years and 39 percent reported family separation.

At the same time, there are hundreds of thousands of Dreamers who have built lives, families, and careers in the United States. More than 530,000 people currently have active DACA status, and over a million more could be eligible if protections were fully restored. Many have deep ties to both countries, just as I do.

When a person is suddenly removed from the only home they remember, they often arrive in Mexico with no clear plan and no support. Yet across both countries there are churches, shelters, nonprofits, community centers, and volunteers who care deeply. The problem is not a lack of compassion. The problem is that the help is scattered and hard to find.

The Mexico Deportee Coalition is my effort to bring these pieces together into one coordinated support network. A place where information is organized, where people can find help faster, and where hope can travel across borders.

What Your Contribution Makes Possible

I am working in phases so that every contribution has a clear, practical purpose. For this initial phase, I am seeking a modest startup amount to cover the first legal and infrastructure steps and to begin structuring the database that will anchor the coalition.

1. Legal Establishment of the Nonprofit

This covers the legal formation and federal recognition of The Mexico Deportee Coalition. It is the foundation that allows us to operate responsibly, partner with organizations on both sides of the border, apply for grants, and manage contributions with accountability and transparency.

2. Core Website and Infrastructure

I have already begun building the website that will serve as the centra information hub at MexicoDeporteeCoalition.org. These funds support upgraded hosting and security, domain services, email infrastructure, and the early structure needed to host a growing resource directory. This site will become a lifeline where people can quickly find help and information in both English and Spanish.

3. Essential Tools and Secure Systems – Approximately $150

This includes basic operational tools such as secure communication channels, cloud storage, and simple management systems that let the coalition function day to day. These are quiet, behind the scenes costs, but they are critical for handling sensitive stories and personal information in a safe and respectful way.

4. Early Outreach and Database Preparation – Approximately $200

During the next several weeks, I will be reaching out to many organizations that already serve deportees, Dreamers, and migrants in Mexico and in the United States. I will be using a combination of artificial intelligence tools and structured data systems to begin building a living directory that organizes those contacts by region, type of support, and accessibility.

This early funding helps cover the time and tools needed to identify groups, collect information in a structured way, and start laying out a map of where help already exists and where new support is needed.

A Rough Timeline For The Coalition’s Development

Phase 1 – Foundation (Now through early 2026)
Legal formation of the nonprofit, core website and infrastructure, basic communication systems, and the first version of the resource database. Begin outreach to an initial circle of organizations, churches, shelters, and legal programs in key border and interior cities.
Phase 2 – Network Building (Spring 2026)
Expand the directory to include more cities and regions in Mexico, along with key partners in the United States. Develop simple intake pathways for deportees and Dreamers who need help. Launch regular communication updates and basic orientation resources in both English and Spanish.
Phase 3 – Deepening Support (Beyond 2026)
Grow the network into a fully coordinated support system that includes employment connections, housing leads, mental health support options, and reintegration tools. Introduce media projects, interviews, and stories that highlight lived experiences and raise awareness globally.

This timeline is flexible, but it reflects a real plan. Each phase builds on the previous one, and this campaign is focused on the very first step.

How I Hope To Leverage Technology And People Power

I believe the most powerful system is built when technology and people are working together. I am using secure data tools and modern artificial intelligence to:

Collect and organize information from many different organizations into a single, searchable directory.
Spot gaps where services are missing so we know where new efforts are most needed.
Create simple intake flows that help people find the right contact faster, instead of telling their story over and over again.
Support communication, translation, and storytelling in ways that respect privacy and dignity.

At the same time, this coalition is not about computers. It is about people. The real heart of the coalition will be:

Deportees, Dreamers, and returning migrants who share their needs and their stories.
Churches, shelters, nonprofits, legal advocates, and community groups who quietly do the work every day.
Supporters who contribute what they can, share information, and help the network grow.

A Personal Note From Paul

My life has been shaped by both Mexico and the United States. I have friends and family, memories and roots, on each side of the border. In that space between, I have met people who were taken from the only home they knew and left to start over in a country that feels foreign, even if it is technically “home.”

I have also seen incredible kindness. Volunteers at shelters. Pastors opening their doors. Community organizers finding beds and meals and bus tickets. Lawyers giving their time. People praying, walking alongside, and simply listening.

The Mexico Deportee Coalition is my attempt to honor that kindness and extend it. To build a network that is easier to access, easier to navigate, and easier to share. A network where information does not sit in someone’s notebook or inbox, but lives in a shared system where it can reach the people who need it.

Humanity could use a little more humanity. That is what this campaign is really about.
