Play It Forward - Support the MG Chargers Band!

Band Family 💚🎶

Last night at our band meeting, we had some honest conversations. And I want to continue that same spirit of transparency here.

We’ve noticed some things.

Fewer people are showing up.
Fewer people are volunteering.
Fewer people are fundraising.

We know everyone is busy. Truly, we do. Life is full. Schedules are packed. Work, sports, family, everything pulls at us every day.

But here’s the hard truth:
These kids — this band — our teacher — they need us.

Band is just like a team. When we don’t work together, we don’t win.

And right now, if nothing shifts, the losses are going to add up quickly.

Our band bank account is dwindling. Fast. And that’s stressful.

It means instruments don’t get repaired.
It means music doesn’t get purchased.
It means students miss out on festivals and opportunities that create lifelong memories.

Ultimately, it means more and more of the cost of being in band gets pushed back onto families.

That is not what we want. That is not why we’re here.

So over the next two weeks, I’m asking you to dig a little deeper.

Dig into your heart.
Dig into your pocket.
Dig into your address book.

Think about the family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers — anyone who has cheered for your student, attended a concert, watched a performance online, or simply believes in supporting kids. Ask them to show up big. Show up strong. Make a donation for these students.

Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every effort matters.

These kids are working hard. They show up. They practice. They perform. They represent our school with pride.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

Let’s rally. Let’s protect this program. Let’s make sure the music keeps playing. 🎶💚
