At Moab House, we believe that healing starts with safety—even in the most basic spaces, like a bathroom. Thanks to generous supporters like you, we’ve completed the East Wing's Trauma-Free Bathrooms—and now, we need your help to do the same for the West Wing.
Many of our young adults come from unstable, even traumatic, environments where privacy and security were never guaranteed. A simple bathroom—something most of us take for granted—can be a triggering space for those who have experienced neglect, overcrowding, or abuse.
That’s why we’re committed to building 4 Trauma-Free Bathrooms in the West Wing—spaces designed with:
โ
Individual privacy to create a sense of security
โ
Soft lighting and calming colors to reduce anxiety
โ
Accessible, high-quality fixtures to promote dignity and self-care
Imagine having to rush your shower before someone bangs on the door—or feeling unsafe every time you need basic hygiene. For many of our residents, this was their reality. A private, safe bathroom isn't a luxury—it’s a necessity for trauma recovery.
Your support will fund:
๐น Private, lockable bathroom spaces
๐น Thoughtfully designed, trauma-informed features
๐น Durable, high-quality fixtures for long-term use
With your help, we successfully transformed the East Wing bathrooms into safe, healing spaces. Now, let’s finish the job and make sure every Moab House resident has the privacy, dignity, and peace they deserve.
