Benevolence Giving (Outreach)

At Moab House, we understand that life’s challenges don’t end after 21, and some former foster youth may need a helping hand even if they’re not currently living with us. From essentials like work clothes or shoes to urgent needs such as preventing utility shut-offs or covering rent payments, our Benevolence Giving (Outreach) is here to provide critical support.

OBJECTIVE

To provide emergency financial assistance and essential resources to former foster youth outside of Moab House who face urgent needs. This fund ensures that young adults in transition have access to critical support for housing stability, food security, transportation, medical expenses, or other unforeseen hardships.

RATIONALE

Former foster youth often lack a reliable safety net when unexpected financial hardships arise. Without family support, they are at a higher risk of homelessness, food insecurity, and financial distress. By establishing a designated Benevolence Giving Fund, Moab House can extend its mission beyond its residents, assisting young adults in crisis and fostering long-term stability. This initiative also strengthens partnerships with neighboring counties and Cadence Care, allowing for a coordinated response to urgent needs.
