At Moab House, our House Parents are the heart of our mission, providing round-the-clock care, guidance, and stability for the Moab House Young Adults (MYAs). In addition to supporting former foster youth on their journey to independence, they are also the legal guardians of their 23-year-old conservatee, a former foster youth with autism who has endured significant trauma.
To better serve their family and the young adults in their care, we need your help to install a second bathroom in their living quarters—complete with a small washer and dryer unit.
Privacy and routine are essential, especially for their conservatee, whose past trauma has led to heightened sensitivity to disruptions and a deep need for predictability in her environment. Currently, the lack of a second bathroom creates stress, interruptions, and challenges in daily routines, making it difficult for both the House Parents and their conservatee to maintain the stability and privacy they need.
Your support will fund:
✅ A second bathroom to enhance privacy and ease daily routines
✅ An in-unit washer and dryer for accessibility and convenience
✅ A supportive, predictable environment for a young adult with autism who has endured significant trauma
The House Parents at Moab House pour their hearts into caring for others—now, we have the opportunity to give them the comfort, functionality, and support they deserve.
💙 Donate today. Because caregivers need care, too. 💙
