Update: it’s 2021 and the walk is in person this year, hooray! Holli and myself will be doing the walk for the same reason, so I am leaving my “story” from last year under this. It would mean the world to us both again if you’d donate for the animals, and in Brandon’s honor! Thanks friends! ❤️

Last year I did the walk for animals and had a blast. Not only did I reach my goal, but I met a beautiful corgi named Layla whose owner, Brandon, and his mom let me walk with them the entire way so I wasn’t an awkward loner. Two wonderful friends were made and I got to carry a short-legged dog who couldn’t quite make it the whole way. What could be better? 

That precious dogs human, Brandon, passed away on Wednesday, August 12th after a long personal battle. My reason for doing the walk this year has changed immensely. Yes, of course it’s still to raise money for MHS. But I am also going to do this walk with Brandon’s mom and Layla, in his honor. Rest easy Brandon, thank you for being my friend that day and letting me love your sweet corgi. ❤️ You will be there with us in spirit, that is for damn sure.
