MHYT's Student Sponsorship Fund

MHYT is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed on the premise that it IS possible to provide high quality theatre education for students while being financially sustainable and dismantling exclusionary practices.

By contributing to MHYT’s scholarship fund, your sponsorship helps us work towards our goal of reducing barriers to arts access in our community. As public school educators, we have seen the powerful role that the arts play in youth development and social-emotional wellness firsthand. In a post-pandemic world, a safe and creative outlet for students is more needed than ever before.

We recognize the operational costs associated with theatre making and organizational start-up costs: paying teachers a livable wage, technical equipment, licensing and royalties, venues, insurance...

But we are dedicated to the goal of "say yes!" so that no child is denied participation.

By sponsoring a student, you are helping make that vision a reality. Your scholarship directly provides students who would be otherwise unable to participate in classes and productions the opportunity to do so.

Our 2025/2026 goal is to work with sponsors to raise at least $10,000, allowing us to scholarship at least 10 students into full productions and 10 students into weekly classes.

● $400 - 500 - Provide a scholarship for a student to participate in a full production this fall (programs run 8 - 10 weeks with students receiving services 2-3x per week)

● $225 - Provide a scholarship for a student to participate in a weekly 60-minute class (programs typically run 8 weeks)

● $275 - Provide a scholarship for a student to participate in a weekly 90-minute class (programs typically run 8 weeks)

Any amount you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated. Additionally, if you would like to set up recurring monthly donations to support our scholarship fund over time, we would be extremely grateful for your ongoing support.
