The Traverse City Dance Project is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $41,890 Mission Support Grant from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council for its 2026 season. $5,600 of this award is made possible through support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

This grant will support key operational expenses and help fund several important upgrades for the company’s touring productions, including traveling theater trunks for the summer tour, a new wireless communication system for the production team, a stage skirt, and an outdoor lighting system.

We are deeply grateful for this investment in our work, which helps us continue our mission of bringing free, professional dance performances to communities throughout Northern Michigan.

To receive the full grant funding, a 25% cash match is required. We are working to raise $10,473 by April 1, which will directly support our free 2026 Summer Community Tour.
