About Midvalley Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Midvalley is a dedicated club of Rotary International®, one of the largest global service organizations in the world. Guided by the international organization's foundational motto, "Service Above Self", and its core vision to create lasting change across the globe, communities, and in ourselves, the Midvalley club acts locally to bring this expansive mission to life. Funded by community donations and fundraising proceeds, the club channels its resources into targeted initiatives spanning humanitarian aid, education, youth development, and healthcare.

Local Community Impact
The Midvalley club actively supports families, children, and first responders within Midvale, Fort Union, Cottonwood Heights, and Kearns. Key local initiatives include:

· Youth & Education: Delivering thousands of dictionaries to local third graders, sponsoring high school students for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), supporting international student exchanges, and sponsoring both college-level Rotaract and high school Interact clubs.

· Family & Community Support: Organizing the flagship Operation Santa project to provide holiday cheer to low-income families, refugee families, and children with disabilities. The club also builds beds for children through Sleep in Heavenly Peace, hosts a Boys and Girls Club Halloween party, and helps stock the Murray Children's Food Pantry.

· Health & Wellness: Supporting Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), contributing to cystic fibrosis research through "Ben's Brigade", and participating in the MS Bike Race.

· Environment & Civic Appreciation: Leading the Jordan River Cleanup Project and honoring local Midvale firefighters and Unified Police officers.

International Projects
Leveraging its connection to Rotary's global network, the Midvalley club participates in vital international projects to foster sustainable development and health improvements, including:

· Medical & Humanitarian Aid: Delivering tens of thousands of dollars in donations to Piedras Negras, Mexico—including a life-saving Jaws of Life tool—and funding a new prenatal unit and children's medical center.

· Global Health: Supporting ongoing polio eradication efforts worldwide and raising funds for hearing aids for children and adults in need.

· Infrastructure & Education: Funding the restoration of the Helen Keller School for the Blind in Cordova, Argentina, and backing sustainable water and sanitation systems in Ecuador, Guatemala, and Mexico.
