Michael I. Days Scholarship Fund

NABJ-Philadelphia is proud to sponsor this scholarship fund for our dear friend Michael I. Days as a way to carry on his legacy after his untimely death on Oct. 18, 2025. Mike was a nationally recognized journalist, Pulitzer Prize-winning editor, and former editor of the Philadelphia Daily News and vice president of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Among his passions were mentoring young journalists, promoting diversity in the newsroom and advocating for a free press that was open to all communities.

We ask that you donate heartily so that many more young journalists can follow in Mike's path with the support that they need. This scholarship will ensure that they reach the goals that Mike achieved and believed in.
