Purchasing a Rescue Minivan

We need a larger vehicle solely dedicated to the dog rescue! For the last year and a half, I have used my personal car for all rescue and transport needs, and quite honestly, my car has gone through the ringer! Stains, funky smells, chewed and ripped up upholstery, damaged seat belts and steering wheel, scratched up paint, and more. While I don't mind having used my car up to this point, the value of my vehicle has taken a significant hit due to all this damage.

In addition to this, my car is a small 5-passenger sedan. If there was ever an emergency and we all needed to evacuate, there is not enough space in my car for all of the dogs + crates! What we really need is a minivan with seats that fully fold down. This would allow for 6 hardshell plastic crates to be securely loaded into the main part of the minivan, with a spot in the front seat for Miko to be securely seated. (I have 7 dogs in my personal care).

Thankfully, we already have the hardshell crates, and thankfully there ha never been an emergency where we needed to evacuate, but this scenario weighs heavily on my mind every single day. What would the plan be if we did have to evacuate and I couldn't fit all the dogs in my car? I don't even want to consider the alternatives. I have been so hesitant to begin a fundraiser for a minivan, because it feels impossible to me.

So! With that said, I'm putting this out into the world in hopes that we can one day achieve this important goal! Besides having the funds to purchase a used minivan, we also need money on-hand to pay for annual registration costs, liability insurance, savings for any repairs, and gas costs.

My goal once we have this minivan is to also be able to offer paid Transport Services for other rescues or people needing assistance with transport from shelters or to foster homes.
