Hi there! My name is Stephaine Mitten. I am 35 years old. I was born with cat-eye syndrome. A rare genetic condition caused by the trisomy 22 mosaic chromone. It has a long list of anomalies; I have my fair share of them. Most of them have been corrected through 27 surgeries. I am hearing impaired and have congenital heart disease. I had to work hard through PT, OT and speech therapy. I love being involved in Special Olympics bowling, Taekwondo, currently have a purple belt. I participate in cooking class with Destiny Cafe. I cheer with Cheer athletics Cheer Abilities Unity Cats team. I also participate in Challenger League Baseball and AllPlay Softball. I love to volunteer in the community through my church. I sign for my church praise band team, volunteer in the nursery on Sunday, Vacation bible school and in other church activities. I love being with my friends at Miss Amazing events. I am so excited to be crowed Nebraska Miss Amazing Senior Miss Queen. I believe I can do anything because I turned my disability into possibilities.
