Following the attacks in Israel on October 7th, over 100,000 of our brothers and sisters have been displaced, and more than 25,000 of them lost everything. The goal of the Mitzvah Mission is to help our brothers and sisters rebuild their lives by providing them with the essentials they need. Mitzvah Mission has partnered with Makom, a JNF affiliate, along with several other remarkable organizations (listed above) to achieve this goal.

Upper East Side: November 29th - 30th, 1 PM - 9 PM
Five Towns: December 3rd, 1 PM - 5 PM

About MAKOM/JNF:

By motivating scores of Israelis in overcrowded cities to move to these regions, Jewish National Fund-USA is dramatically changing Israel’s landscape. Crucial to moving hundreds of thousands of people to the North and South is working with affiliate MAKOM, a network of communities focused on empowering and revitalizing towns and villages in the Negev and Galilee. MAKOM members are volunteers who help to connect people and improve the quality of life through innovative programs in the fields of employment, culture, education, and welfare.

The Tikkun Project unites Jewish young professionals in New York behind one central fundraising organization. Because we are stronger together, centralizing funds under one umbrella makes our community a fundraising powerhouse that can significantly move the needle for the causes that we decide to support. All contributions to the Tikkun Project are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law through our fiscal sponsor, the Telos Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized by the IRS. As a result, our community can centralize our fundraising of tax-deductible donations and direct funds to the most urgent causes as the situation evolves on the ground, in the most time and cost-effective manner.
