Family is everything, right? Well, what if your entire family and community became estranged from you for the simple fact that you decided to keep – rather than abort – your child? This is the reality for dozens of women in Jinja, Uganda, who have found solace in the support offered by Meraki Missions Int’l (visit us at www.merakimissions.org).

Particularly during the COVID-19 outbreak, many women found themselves in compromised positions – in most cases, including rape – which left them single, pregnant, and nowhere to go. Meraki Missions Int’l, which was founded in 2019, saw a need and made it the team’s primary mission to make a difference by teaching employable skills to these women and, in the meantime, ensuring they and their children didn’t starve.

At this time, we are now asking for God’s support and the support of his loving community to raise $1,500 USD to implement an “employable trade” program that aims to teach single women in Jinja, Uganda, skills that can earn them and their families money.

Is Meraki Missions a non-profit?

Yes! Meraki Missions is a registered non-profit in the country of Uganda. The team members based in Jinja worked very hard to surpass the economic and administrative hurdles that challenged the team’s collective aim of achieving support, validity, and endless opportunity for growth.
