I am thrilled to be traveling to Monhegan Island for the Art With a Heart artist retreat. Although I am not an artist, I am the executive director of Women for Healthy Living and I’ll be there to help with the event. So while it’s technically a “working” weekend for me, I feel like I’ll be working in one of the most magical places on the planet. How exciting to see the same vistas that have inspired many of my favorite artists, like Andrew and Jamie Wyeth. We are so fortunate to have the talented Janie Snider leading this retreat. Her warmth and wisdom, as well as her vast art background make her the perfect choice for this experience. Because I feel like I too will be rewarded just by being on Monhegan, I want to fundraise, just like the artists. This nonprofit is dear to my heart and I hope my supporters will give generously to support our ongoing community-building work.
