I am a CPA and business owner living and working in Machias, Maine. I am a native of the area and I am passionate about capturing the beauty of nature through watercolor art and photography. I truly am in awe with the beauty of nature every day. I have enjoyed art since I was a child. I placed art on the back burner for decades when I entered the working world. Over the last few years, I have embraced my love for art and I have taken watercolor classes with two local artists. For pure enjoyment and the thrill of the chase for the perfect picture, I am in nature as much as possible capturing photos. It has been a perfect balance to offset my high pressure and logical career. I have never been to Monhegan, but I have heard of its reputation as a beautiful and a popular spot for artists. I am looking forward to experiencing the island and the retreat!

I am excited that I am placing my interest in art and nature as a priority in my life. I am determined to expand my confidence and abilities with the camera and watercolors. If I don't embrace what I am passionate about, it will pass me by.
