Mikki’s Mission was born from both heartbreak and hope.

What started as a family tradition, opening our farm to children with serious illnesses for turkey hunts, became something much deeper when our lives were forever changed by Mikki. Through her life, we saw up close how illness doesn’t just affect one child, it touches the entire family. We saw the weight parents carry, the quiet needs of siblings, and the longing for moments of joy in the middle of really hard circumstances.

And we knew we couldn’t just go back to normal.

So Mikki’s Mission was created, to honor her life by creating space for others to experience joy, rest, and the love of Jesus in the middle of their own stories.

Today, we serve families walking through serious illness or special needs by inviting them into something different.

We host fully planned, completely covered outdoor experiences, like our annual turkey hunt weekends, where kids get once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and families are cared for as a whole. From meals and lodging to worship and intentional time together, every detail is designed to say: you are seen, you are loved, and you are not alone.

But what makes Mikki’s Mission truly different is this:

We don’t just focus on the child, we pour into the entire family.

While the kids are out hunting or adventuring, moms, siblings, and caregivers are being poured into through things like meals, outings, classes, and intentional community. Because we believe healing and hope happen best when the whole family is supported.

And at the center of it all is the Gospel.

Every story we step into, every weekend we host, every conversation we have, it all points back to Jesus. To hope. To purpose. To the truth that even in the hardest places, God is still writing something beautiful.
