As a social enterprise nonprofit program, Try Pie is funded by a combination of funding streams. Sales from pies, grants, and the generosity of individual donors help us do what we do!

The Monthly Slice Club members provide consistent work for our teens, GIVE to help cover costs for skill based training, and enjoy some pretty incredible pie each month. As a Monthly Slice Club donor, we'll deliver to your door 4 fresh baked mini pies and the inside scoop on all that's happening at Try Pie each month.

Deliveries will be dropped at the front door of the address provided on the 2nd Friday of the month between 2pm and 5pm.

Working at Try Pie is so much more than a job. Teens are paid for their time working in the kitchen as well as hours they spend participating in financial literacy and job skill trainings, sitting down for one-on-one mentoring and taking on leadership roles within the program and business. *Holiday deliveries will be the 2nd Friday of November, December, or January - whichever is immediately after The Monthly Slice Club member signs up unless a different month is requested.

FAQ

I already give to Try Pie monthly - can I be a part of The Monthly Slice Club, too?

Yes! While all donations do go toward Try Pie's programming and operation, The Monthly Slice Club will be a separate donation if you're already giving monthly. To receive a monthly delivery of pie and news, please make the $60/month gift through this page.

Can I donate more than $60 each month?

Yes! If you'd like to give more than $60 but want to give as part of The Monthly Slice Club, please make your $60/month donation on this page, and head to our General Giving Page to give beyond that amount.

What if I give less than $60 each month?

You can give a gift of any amount on our General Giving Page. A donation there will not enroll you in The Monthly Slice Club, but will still make an impact on the Meaningful Work Try Pie is able to offer!

What if I won't be home to receive my delivery?

If you won't be home the 2nd Friday of the month for delivery, you can email info@trypie.org to either skip that month's delivery or get information about picking up your pies from Try Pie's storefront downtown Waterloo on an alternate date.

Can I pick the flavors included in my delivery?

We are not able to offer specific selection of pie flavors. Each month you'll get a variety of our seasonal flavors available in store! Feel free to share flavors you don't prefer with friends and fam. *If you have nut or egg allergies, please email info@trypie.org for acoomodation options.

What if I want to give monthly but don't want a delivery?

No problem! Head here to make a donation through our General Giving Page.

What if I want to gift my delivery to a friend?

If you'd like to give on behalf of a friend and gift the delivery of your pie and news to them, complete your donation on this page then email info@trypie.org. *Delivery only available to addresses in Waterloo / Cedar Falls, Iowa.

How do I cancel my monthly gift and end my deliveries?

If you'd like to cancel your monthly gift, open the email confirming your most recent donation to Try Pie sent from Network for Good. Click the linked word "account" to find a record of all your donations and tax receipts. If you have not created a login, it will prompt you to do so to access this information. Once logged in, select Recurring Donations on the left side of the screen. Select Actions to find a drop down menu and select stop to finish canceling your donation to Try Pie.

For planning purposes, we ask that The Monthly Slice Club participants would plan to commit to at least three months of giving. If you'd prefer to give a one time gift or a different monthly gift, please visit our General Giving Page.
