We are excited to invite you to join us in supporting a unique and empowering initiative - the "Daughters of the Moon: 1st Moon Blessing Workshop." This two-day event is designed to celebrate the journey of young girls as they experience their first menstruation, first moon, first menarche.

Born out of the desire to create a modern way to bring forward the ancient ways of initiation and ceremony around an impactful milestone such as the moon cycle/menstrual cycle for young girls as they journey through phases into womanhood. Creating a space of sacredness, reverence and community is vital for young girls at this time and can truly make a positive impact on their futures.

About the Event:

"Daughters of the Moon" is more than a workshop; it's a transformative experience for young girls - and their mothers. We believe in creating a safe, supportive space where mothers and daughters can come together to explore, learn, and celebrate this significant milestone in a girl's life. We are planning the event to take place FALL 2024, in the Austin Texas area, just a few months away.

What Your Support Will Fund:

Venue and Supplies: Securing a welcoming space and providing the necessary materials for engaging workshops.
Expert Speakers: Bringing in knowledgeable speakers to provide comprehensive education on menstruation, reproductive health, emotional well-being and dance!
Symbolic Ceremony: Creating a beautiful and meaningful ceremony that marks the transition into the journey of womanhood, fostering empowerment and self-acceptance.
Gifts for Attendees: Offering symbolic and heartfelt gifts to the young girls, providing lasting memories of this special event.
Dynamic Photographer: Securing a Photographer with an eye to capture beautiful and magical moments that are sure to unfold at our event as well as provide a special Mother-Daughter Portrait to commermorate the experience for the attendees.
Journal: We are creating a special "Daughters of the Moon: My 1st Moon Journal" to be published and distributed to attendees and made available for all who are interested in such a wonderful gift.
Scholarship: We plan to make available 2 partial scholarships to make certain that this experience is accessible.
