Dear Friends of HVO,

Brae came to Haywood Vocational Opportunities, Inc. (HVO) looking for more than a job, she was looking for a place to belong.

Like many people in Western North Carolina facing disabilities and other barriers, Brae wanted independence, purpose, and the chance to be seen for her abilities, not her obstacles.

HVO believed in Brae. With encouragement, training, and support, she gained confidence, built skills, and found meaningful employment. Today, she is a valued, dependable member of her team.

"Thanks to HVO for giving me the help I needed to find my niche," Brae says. "I would not be here without HVO."

Others in Western North Carolina are still waiting for that same opportunity.
