The Story of Collide Community Church

Collide Community Church has never been about walls, stages, or ceilings. It has always been about people. Our journey began in the most humble spaces: living rooms, apartments, and homes where a small group of people gathered to seek God together. From there, we grew and found ourselves worshiping in bars, parks, rented spaces, and schools…anywhere we could come together as a family of faith.

When the pandemic hit, those doors closed, and we faced a challenge we never imagined: how do you build community when you cannot meet face to face? With resilience and God’s grace, we continued to gather online, determined to stay connected, encouraged, and steadfast. What could have ended us instead strengthened us. We learned that the Church was never just a location. It was, and still is, God’s people moving forward in faith.

Now, God has brought us to a new chapter. We are no longer only praying for a place to meet on Sundays. We are believing for a permanent home…not just for ourselves, but for our city. This future home will be a house for worship and discipleship, but also a hub for community support and transformation.

We see a place where a bookstore and café foster fellowship. A place with before and after school programs that help parents and invest in the next generation. A place where GED courses, trade school opportunities, and job training give people the tools to build a better future. We envision a space where mental health programs provide care and support, where food assistance and homeless services meet immediate needs with dignity, and where future K–12 education opportunities prepare children to thrive. This will be a home where practical needs are met, lives are restored, and the community is strengthened.

This is why we say this campaign is More Than A Building. It’s about building hope, creating opportunity, and leaving a legacy that will impact lives for generations to come.

But we cannot do it alone. To make this vision a reality, we need partners…people who believe in what God is doing through Collide and who are willing to invest in the future of our community.
