If you’re like us, the memories of your time as a CCHS Swimmer or Diver run deep and are heavily influenced by a common thread: Coach Jerry Moss. It’s hard to believe, but this is Moss’s 45^th year of coaching Concord Carlisle Swimming and Diving. The impact that Jerry has had on so many of us is undeniable, both in the pool and outside of it.

Coach Moss’s influence within the Concord-Carlisle swimming community was instrumental in the creation of the Beede Center on the CCHS campus in 2006. While Beede has aged gracefully and the pool is still considered top-notch within the DCL, North Sectional and state, the original starting blocks are showing their age and need to be replaced. Thanks to a generous initial gift from Concord Masters swimmer Jim Terry, the Friends of CCHS Swimming and Diving have begun raising funds to replace the worn blocks with the newer wedge-style starting blocks, similar to those used at championship swim meets at the collegiate to the international level.

In honor of Coach Moss’s 45 years of coaching, we are looking to alumni and all the "Fans of Moss" to help raise at least $4,500 to be donated in his honor. In all, to provide both the blocks and installation as a gift to the Town of Concord, we are hoping to raise $85,000. We are already over 80% there, having currently raised $70,000 (with Coach Moss himself personally donating $1,000). We need your support to help us finish strong. (through the wall, underwater, no breaths in the last 5 yards!)

All monies raised beyond the goal will go towards maintenance of the new blocks and will be gifted to the Beede Center.
