About the Mount Gretna Arts Council

Among the trees of Mount Gretna, the Arts Council works to preserve the community’s creative spirit and its harmony with nature. We strengthen the cultural life of this small but vibrant place by supporting the artists, organizations, and traditions that make Mount Gretna unique.

Our work reaches across the many circles that define our town — visual arts, music, theatre, history, and community gatherings — helping them thrive together rather than apart. We:

• Preserve the values that make Mount Gretna a place of inspiration, ensuring the arts and environment remain at its heart.

• Honor the long-standing traditions of our cultural organizations while welcoming new voices and ideas.

• Encourage and lead cooperation among artistic and cultural groups so shared creativity strengthens the whole community.

• Publicize Mount Gretna’s diverse cultural activities, locally and regionally, through our event calendar and communications.

• Produce the annual Summer Calendar of Events, connecting residents and visitors to everything happening among the trees.

• Oversee the operations of the historic Mount Gretna Playhouse, ensuring it remains a stage where the arts come to life each summer.
