Hello! I am truly grateful for the past 9 years that Jared’s Heroes has been able to raise over $21,000 for Easterseals MA programs and to ensure all individuals have equal opportunities in every aspect of their lives. On May 18th, we will be participating in Easterseals Move with Me event. For the second year, it will be held at The Bridge Center in Bridgewater, MA. I am so grateful for your past support and hope you are able to continue to contribute to our ongoing fundraising efforts. And if you are free on May 18th, come and check out all of the new improvements at this location! I would love to see you there!
My passion to support the Easterseals MA mission comes from my field of work as a physical therapist. I have always wanted to help others achieve their functional goals whether it be for daily living, work, school or play. And, I am very proud to say that I have worked for this amazing organization for over 21 years as a Physical Therapist. I get the privilege to see first-hand all the amazing things this organization and my coworkers do for our community. I am inspired by the people I work with at Easterseals MA and the clients they serve.
This year is another very exciting year for Easterseals MA. After lots of hard work, The Bridge Center has re-established adaptive recreation programming, the adaptive equestrian center & hippotherapy services, working with a physical therapist using the horse’s gait to provide neuromuscular input to the client. They recently opened up a therapy clinic with PT, OT and SLP all onsite! There are so many new furry friends on site! They have also started enrollment for the new summer camp program with a goal to repair & re-open the inground accessible pool on property this summer. This property is truly amazing! In addition, other programs continue to thrive at Easterseals MA! They have also expanded their AT services and the College Navigator Program now serves over 250 clients. New programs launched include the digital literacy program Easterseals Massachusetts | Tech Support & Training or the YouTube training videos ESMA Tech Connect - YouTube. These programs are across the entire state of Massachusetts and have been recognized countless times for the exceptional impact they have on members in our community with disabilities.
These are just a few examples of how Easterseals MA was able to help people Live, Learn, Work & Play over this past year! I encourage you to go on the website and check out all of the news and updates. www.easterseals.com/ma/.
The impact Easterseals MA has on an individual’s life through these services is really priceless! Your donations continue to be vital for the growing services provided to fill gaps for people in our community with disabilities. Services continue to expand and reach more & more people every year in our communities. But they cannot do this without you!
This will be my 19th walk as a participant. However, 9 years ago I decided to create my own team in honor of my brother Jared who passed away 15 years ago. I feel he would be so proud to support this amazing organization if he were still with us. I cannot think of a better way to honor my brother than to raise money for a mission that is so near & dear to my heart.
I appreciate anything you can give! Multiple $5-10 donations add up to a lot! Donations can be made through my web page, https://givebutter.com/move2024/jareds-heroes/jennifermedeiros Or by check, made out to “Easterseals MA” and mailed to Jennifer Medeiros, 251 Clark Street, Rochdale, MA 01542.
Thank you for all of your help in ensuring that children & adults with disabilities have equal opportunities to Live, Learn, Work & Play!
Sincerely,
Jen Medeiros
