In my 4 years of supporting Matrix, I have had the opportunity to see many women grow in their confidence and thrive in their abilities to parent. I was able to see broken women find healing through support at Matrix. 

The first experience that changed my perspective about my purpose and how I could support women at Matrix was working with Alyssa. She was the first of many mommas that I saw flourish through my wiliness to support them. I realized that I was more than just a Matrix volunteer. I was a vessel of the Lord with a purpose to empower women.

She considered abortion, but I stood by this mother, cried with this mother, felt the feelings with this mother. She chose life for her baby, and I have been able to see this mother flourish and inspire other mothers. It was not easy for her or for me, but God called me and empowered me to be the support she needed. 

When I see her daughter Kinsleigh, I am thankful of what God has allowed me to do. My perspective has completely changed in how my support can make a difference.
