Every day in our community, hardworking individuals and families face one major obstacle standing between them and stability: transportation.

At Way to Go, we believe a reliable vehicle can change everything. It means getting to work on time, keeping medical appointments, taking children to school and childcare, accessing job training, and creating a path toward long-term independence.

The Moving Forward Campaign is an ongoing effort to provide critical transportation assistance to low-income individuals and families throughout Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County. Donations help fund emergency vehicle repairs, insurance assistance, gas vouchers, DMV fees, car payments, rideshare transportation, driver education, and vehicle purchase support through our programs and partnerships.

In addition to direct client assistance, donations also help sustain the day-to-day operations of Way to Go, including staffing, case coordination, program administration, outreach, and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps services available to the community. Operational support ensures that our small but dedicated team can continue responding quickly to urgent transportation needs and serving local families effectively and compassionately.

For more than 20 years, Way to Go has helped local families overcome transportation barriers so they can maintain employment, increase income, and build brighter futures. But the need continues to grow — and we cannot do this work without the support of our community.
