Declaration of Transformation

When in the course of preparing the next generation for global leadership, it has become necessary for a determined band of visionaries to elevate the means and methods of such preparation in order to achieve the ennobling goal of doing substantial good in the world.

We hold this truth to be self-evident: that the world is in alarming need of rising world leaders who are both (1) exceptionally versed with the world, its peoples, and its cultures and (2) expertly skilled in the arts and sciences of ethically-anchored global leadership. To meet this need, we must transform the traditions of an antiquated higher educational system to envelop a more practical, direct, and hands-on experience of the world through: (1) exhaustive travel, (2) authentic learning communities, (3) masterful critical & creative thinking, and (4) expansive language learning.

In light of these aspirations, we, the founding champions, are accelerating by resourcing The Whigham School in accomplishing these ends and inspiring others to do likewise.
