Every year, the CEMS Middle School Parents Association (MSPA) puts about $35,000 into the things that make middle school memorable:

Student Experiences: Field trips, outdoor education, the Explore program, the 8th grade celebration, and more.
Supporting Teachers and Staff: Small grants, classroom books, and appreciation events
Building Community: Haunted Hallway, Basketball Bonanza, the Cape 5k Challenge, and other events

None of this support comes from the school budget. Most of our funding comes from the Read-a-Thon, Cape Challenge, Cow Bingo, and other events. The Fall Fund covers the rest. It’s our way of simplifying our fundraising to keep the rest of the year focused on volunteer help and the events families already love.

If every family gives $25 per student, we'll reach our $10,000 goal. Any amount helps, and grandparents and other relatives are welcome to give too. Of course, please only give if it’s within the budget for your family.

Thank you for being part of the CEMS community and for your support in helping to make a difference in the lives of our students and families!

A quick note: the MSPA doesn't have 501(c)(3) status yet, so donations can't be claimed as a tax deduction. Getting that status is one of our goals for this school year, and we'll let you know when it's done. If you have the skills to support us in this effort, please contact president@capemspa.org!
